If you’re anything like me when you walk down the grocery isle and pick up an item the first thing I look for is the sugar content. Companies are constantly posing products as “healthy” for you but when you read the label it’s packed with sugar…organic or not sugar is sugar. So here is a way I found to have that occasional fruity flavored yogurt with out all the added sugar and twice the protein.
½ scoop Blueberry, Mango, Apple, Strawberry Banana, or Orange Cream PN Cold Microfiltraion Whey Isolate
6 oz container of Plain Non-fat Greek Yogurt
All you have to do is open the container, dump the protein powder in, give it a quick stir, and there you have it! A fruity flavored sweet snack with out the sugar, with out the added carbs or calories, and packed with a “grip” of protein. The best part is that Prescription Nutrition’s protein powder is so smooth and mixes so easily that it never clumps and doesn’t leave you with a gritty residue. You can even mix it ahead of time and it doesn’t separate or get funky. Give it a try! Your kids won’t even realize you stirred it in.
Using Chobani Brand Plain Non-Fat Greek Yogurt
Protein: 31.5 grams
Carbs: 7 grams
Fat: 0 grams
Using regular plain non-fat yogurt will yield a lower protein content somewhere around 21 grams.
We would like to thank Lacy for this protein concoction. We encourage others to share their recipes as well.
